Really great Indonesian food! It's hard to impress me, because I grew up with the best Sumatran cook-my great grandma. I definitely need to come back and try the rest of the menu. The flavors are strong and authentic. If you have never tried Indonesian food, this is the place for you. I'm so happy to have found my new favorite restaurant!

finally tried this restaurant that everyone's been talking about lol. this is an indonesian restaurant located in the same plaza as pho 75 in south philly!! i got the beef rendang platter with coconut rice and WOW. i rly liked the coconut rice and beef. the beef had a slight kick to it but it wasn't too spicy! flavorful and tender. there were also veggies and an egg that came with it which were okay lol. didn't rly like the veggies tbh. me and my friends split the ground pork fried wontons and the chicken satay. i thought these were yummy! just kinda oily/greasy. definitely good to split with people. for the price and quantity of food i'd say this place is solid. there's also a parking lot but u rly gotta get lucky with a spot lol. but definitely coming back !

My parents immigrated from Indonesia, and this is their favorite Indonesian restaurant in Philadelphia. My mom especially loves their Es Teler, a shaved ice dessert with sweet syrup and lots of yummies (jellies, avocado, etc.). She will get one as a "drink" and finish it before her main course, and then she'll get another one for dessert later! This is a IYKYK type of restaurant - it's in a strip mall with limited parking and doesn't look flashy from the outside. But despite that, it's worth a visit to try Indonesian food. Even if you don't have a lot of time, you can order to-go and they also have boxed snacks in the back like nastar (pineapple cookies). Highly recommend Sky Cafe. Can't wait to be back so I can try everything on their menu!

The Nasi Lemak was delicious. At first I thought the price was a bit expensive, but I think it's actually quite reasonable for the quality. It's also very hard to find Indonesian food in this area outside of Philadelphia. I loved all the different sides to the dish, they came together really well. We didn't have to wait long for our food on the weekend. Some music was playing but nothing too hard to talk over. Definitely want to come again. Good small business I'd love to support.

Located in the "Vietnamese strip mall", this place offers a change to "pho" and other Vietnamese dishes. Sky cafe offers decent Indonesian food. We started with the chicken satay which tasted pretty good since it was covered in peanut sauce. I do wish the chicken satay had more of a charcoal taste. I had the spare rib. The spare rib was so tender it fell off the bone. The sauces accompanying the spare rib were so spicy (both the red one and the green one). Not picture is the Spicy Chicken Rice Platter. Even though it was only one chicken leg, the chicken looked like it was good quality. The hard boiled egg in the dish was topped with spices. I didn't feel like it was very spicy even though the dish was marketed as such. They charge 3 percent if you use a credit card but they do offer Venmo as an option.

Came here for an Indonesian fix with the family. Came at an odd hour so it wasn't packed at all. We were seated right away. The menu is quite extensive with loads to choose from. I've not had an avocado juice in ages so was so happy to see it on the menu and ordered it. It tasted pretty legit - similar to what you will get in Indonesia. Ordered the lamb and chicken satays too. Both were very good. The place isn't anything fancy but it's clean and serves decent Indonesian food. FYI There is a 4% surcharged on credit cards and 25 cents surcharge for a container.

Came back one year later and took a friend who has never been. She was obsessed and we were so stuffed after eating. We came on a weeknight and it was packed! We had to wait about 10minutes before getting seated. Ordered a lot of the usuals because it's just that good and consistent. Gado Gado, chicken satay, Nasi Lemak Rendang and Nasi Campur Medan. Everything was just as flavorful and delicious as before! The campur medan was the only new dish I tried. I loved majority of the things on my plate, but some of the meat was just okay. The soup that comes with it was a winner! Great palette cleanser! Highly highly recommend. The restaurant is inside a big shopping plaza with a lot of parking. I normally walk around and explore the grocery store or grab some bubble/fruit tea afterwards. You cannot beat the price either!

Affordable Indonesian food. They accept payment with cards but there's 4 percent charge. You can pay by Venmo. Chicken satays were covered with peanut sauce. Batagor had some fish cakes with some tofu and egg. Good appetizer. Nicely decorated with some Indonesian themed paintings.
